      @justinfagnani Not really a solution, but Angular support is updated pretty regularly. By the end of the month, v11 will be the oldest supported version. If someone's asking you to support v8, I think you're justified in saying no. angular.io/guide/releases#support-policy-and-schedule

    @justinfagnani I think oldest Angular LTS support will be 18 months, which is faster than many other tools in the ecosystem. As a library author, you'd probably need to support that far back in TS versions anyways, so hopefully Angular shouldn't cause too many problems there.

      @justinfagnani Does @typescript have an official policy around what versions are actively supported? I would hope Angular is aligned with that and it should provide a common floor with other TS libraries.
