I'm all for better privacy, but blatantly misleading statements like "The opportunities for fingerprinting have been removed." makes it really hard to take any privacy discussion seriously.

I'm immediately skeptical of any article I read about user privacy because they never seen to fully grasp the nuance and subtlety of this space. It's hard to separate legitimate privacy arguments from knee-jerk reactions to oversimplified headlines.

I'm not a privacy expert by any means, but when even I see misleading or inaccurate statements, it makes me wonder why I'm not seeing and undercuts any argument being made, however valid it might be.
